There’s a difference between ignorance and stupidity. Ignorance is just a lack of knowledge that can be easily cured by education so long as it’s paired with curiosity. Stupidity doesn’t even want to know. Stupidity wants someone else to do it for them so they don’t even have to think about it. Ignorance is an opportunity. Stupidity is unforgivable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Curiosity is the gateway to learning, which gives life. Complacency is the gateway to stagnation, which is death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Complacency in an unjust system is stupidity. It’s accepting the flawed status quo as inevitable, rather than trying to do better. We can do better. We could do better surprisingly easily but nobody seems to care. They’d rather blame the victim than solve the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It’s your fault you can’t afford food, you just need to work harder,” the deranged say, intentionally ignoring that the system makes enough food to feed everyone and then some, they just would rather throw it away than let someone eat without paying while they intentionally keep a reserve army of labor in poverty as a violent threat to everyone else; work or starve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are a society of somnambulists, shambling zombies that barely register the world around them except through rabid hunger. This is by design. The status quo thrives on keeping the oppressed stupid and compliant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The intelligent have curiosity. The stupid have faith. Faith in god, faith in the system, faith in government, faith in the imaginary unseen hand of the market; pick your fantasy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The truth is, you are a slave, dear reader. Like everyone you were born into bondage; born into a prison you cannot touch, or see, or hear. But unlike Neo in the Matrix films, the prison isn’t a digital unreality, but an economic system that feeds on your labor to the benefit of a tiny minority of monsters who long ago gave up their humanity out of convenience. Why do any of the things that make us human when you can just pay someone to do it for you with the fruits of someone else’s labor that you or your ancestors took from them out of a false sense of entitlement?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If we want anything to improve we need to stop buying into the false dichotomies. Stop letting them trick us into blaming the victim. Stop letting them convince us of fairy tales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is no law beyond do what thou whit. They have always known this and that’s why they thrive while we struggle. You buy into the lie that there’s some hero that’s going to come save us, some god to smite them, some law man that’s going to put it all to right. But the hero is a villain coming to enslave us. Be your own hero, or be a slave. Justice doesn’t come from an unjust system. Justice comes when the oppressed rise up against their oppressors. Justice starts with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why do we let companies hold our food hostage? With permaculture, we could turn every community into a garden that feeds itself with abundance. Why do we let companies tell us what we want? One size fits all fits nobody. We could let our own individuation shape us into a sea of endless variety, the spice of life on every street corner. Why do we let preachers and politicians tell us what to believe? We should want to know the truth. Not the truth they sell us, but the truth within, beyond all the external layers that hide what’s at the center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
